"Small Town Alleyway" is a beautiful example of Ryan's work. The grainy texture adds to the atmosphere of a lost piece of suburbia, time drifting by with the only observers being the birds that pass overhead. It's easy to take the amount of work and craftsmanship that has gone into this piece for granted. From the choice of pallet to the accompanying soundtrack, Ryan makes this visit to an otherwise unremarkable alleyway somewhere we really want to be.
"Neighbourhood Cats" is part of Ryan's Gooberverse collection, featuring the one and only Goober, and orb-shaped being who goes through life guzzling food, bouncing to music and dealing with the situations in which he finds himself in a series of short animations.
